To Wander, Aimlessly

Go to the place you like so much.

Sit or lie down, on a bench, a big stone, or the ground, doesn't matter.

Put on your headphones. Play something that makes you drift away.

Hear your surroundings getting quiet.

Close your eyes.

Feel the world around you disappearing.

Let the music take you upwards.

Concrete thoughts might be crossing your mind. That's fine. Just acknowledge them. Let them float by, like watching cars go by on an empty road. Don't hold on to them.

You might have to force yourself to keep your eyes closed at first. Allow yourself to fully be submerged in this very moment. The future, the past - your obligations don't exist in this moment. Acknowledge them as just a construct and accept the moment for what it is.

Fully and truly enjoy this simple act of being and listening to music.

After some time, slowly open your eyes.

You'll now find yourself at a slower state of being.

Very slowly, look around, pin your eyes to a point in the distance, maybe the sky.

Do you recognize how fast you were living?

Take your time and if you are comfortable, slowly stand up.

Start walking, in any direction.

Walk slow. Just a bit slower than your normal slow walk and fast enough to not stand still.

You might be tempted to walk faster - don't. There is no need to rush.

Soon, you'll be transformed from an active participant to a passive observer.

Take your time and feel the pleasure of just observing and walking, Aimlessly.
