Introducing TNL01
I've been to a ton of techno sets. Over time, I developed a love for good sets that get me dancing all night long and send me into that sweet tunnel. I always wanted to create my own set that does exactly that because, sadly, I've also listened to a lot of bad sets. IMO, there are many factors that can ruin a set, but the most annoying and common one for me is the loss of momentum. You are just beginning to sweat, and the DJ decides to enter a 45 second long break, just to do the same after the next two tracks. This really breaks the flow for me, and I always get frustrated while dancing. DJs like Robin Tasi, Rikhter, Neon Graveyard or SPFDJ (who regularly employs 3 deck mixing) all manage to maintain energy and momentum. I found that loss of momentum is generally avoided by mixing out late and switching syncopation fast enough.
In November 2022 I set out to create such a set, which was way more difficult than I imagined. I have no Dj experience and used Ableton Live to arrange and mix the tracks. My method for testing the set was going for a run while listening to it and stopping when I felt a great loss of momentum.
After a really long time of back and forth, countless track changes, I'm finally satisfied and proud to present TNL01 (SoundCloud), which is my personal love letter to endless nights of sweat drained dance floors and flesh cutting hi hats. Techno has given me so much and helped me through some of the toughest times in my life. Enjoy :)

Personal Stuff
For the last two years, I've been struggling pretty hard with obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia. Currently I'm far from healed but I'm definitely a bit better than when I started this project. I'm so grateful for every day when I have energy and even more for every night when I have the strength to dance. Techno has become such an important thing in my life that I really can't imagine living without it - everytime I dance I feel truly happy, no matter how fucked up my week was.
If you are going through a rough time at the moment, I just want to tell you that times will get better and even if not immediately, living is still worth it for those beautiful little moments that really make you happy. So keep fighting and rave till you can't no more!
